What is MBTI®?
Isabel Myers and Kathryn Briggs based the MBTI® on their observations of psychiatrist, Carl Jung’s work and their own research of more than 20 years. As a result, there is extensive evidence of the validity and reliability of MBTI®.
A framework was developed which helps people understand why people behave differently. It looks purely at individual preferences and there is no right or wrong way of doing things.

How the MBTI® works
The questionnaire and the self-assessment exercise help us to find a “best fit” preference. The questionnaire is easy to complete and explain. The feedback to the questionnaire and the self-assessment exercise is always conducted face to face by a qualified person.
There are sixteen possible personality types; each type is associated with a unique range of behavioural characteristics and values, which provide a valuable starting point for work with both individuals and groups.
How to use MBTI®?
It is a very useful tool for self understanding and working with others more effectively. Typical areas are:
